As of June 1, St. Peter's will be home to two Anglican congregations! St. Paul's Dinka Anglican Church, which has been meeting in St. Luke's Anglican Church in Dover, is moving to St. Peter's, and will be meeting in our Sanctuary on Sunday afternoons.
Led by its Incumbent, the Rev. Lino Keror, St. Paul's is a small, but vibrant church of immigrants from South Sudan, and its services are conducted in their Dinka language. A land-use change at St. Luke's this spring prompted St. Paul's to look for a new home.
In addition to sharing our Sanctuary, we have prepared the former Ohana Cafe office for Rev. Lino, and St. Paul's will likely use Cormack Hall for special events, from time to time. We also look forward to exploring how the two congregations can team up, collaborate and bless each other, in the months and years ahead.
"What a blessing it is to be able to provide a new home for our Dinka brothers and sisters," says the Rev. Bonnie Luft, Incumbent at St. Peter's. "There will undoubtedly be some surprises as they settle in, but I know our congregation will be led by the Spirit, and will be welcoming and gracious during the transition."
