Join us in supporting the Veterans Food Bank

Because St. George was a soldier, the Parish Council of St. Peter's has decided to donate all net proceeds from the St. George's Day Missional Event to the Veterans Association Food Bank.

About $5 from every ticket sold will go to the charity (the rest will cover our catering costs), and we will be collecting free-will offerings for the Veterans Food Bank during the event as well. (Use a Sunday offering envelope if you'd like a tax receipt.) You can also make a directed donation to the charity, in addition to your tithes & offerings to St. Peter's, by cheque or e-transfer this week. Just put 'Veterans Food Bank' in the memo line, the e-transfer note or on the outside of the envelope. 

"It's quite shocking to think that our veterans, who made such great sacrifices for us, are so neglected that they need their own food bank," says Rev. Bonnie. "This is a worthy cause for us to support."
