A huge thank-you to the children, youth and adults who participated in Disciple Depot Celebration Sunday on June 21! The youth did a marvelous job with the Call to Worship, readings and announcements, and the children led the singing beautifully – thanks in large part to choir wranglers Bev and Alissa. At sermon time, Student Assistant Liam Getty, who leads our Disciple Depot Youth program, delivered a powerful testimony with the theme "God shows up," and also delivered the Prayers of the People quite ably, as usual. After the service, the men of the parish provided a delicious banquet of burgers, dogs and potato salad in Cormack Hall.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate what our children learned and taught us in Disciple Depot this past year. Thanks to our Sunday School Coordinator Sholabomi Toye and his team for all that they do. We pray blessings on a restful summer, as we look forward to another strong season starting in September. Well done, good and faithful servants!
