Opening Worship & Collation ServiceWatch Rev. Bonnie officially become Ven. Bonnie In late August, our Incumbent, The Reverend Bonnie Luft became The Venerable Bonnie Luft when The Most Rev. Gregory Kerr-Wilson appointed her Archdeacon of Bow Valley – and on Friday, October 23, he'll make it official in a collation service that you can watch via livestream! This will happen at the opening worship service of the Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Calgary, so your prayers for Ven. Bonnie, and for a productive and edifying Synod are appreciated. A diverse team of dozens of parishioners – longtimers and newcomers; young and (ahem) less young – transformed every corner of our building, upstairs & downstairs and north, south, east & west, to make the Fall Fair happen. I was also a Registered Nurse with Alberta Health Services. As you likely noticed, we are in the process of building a choir again at St. Peter's, and we are hoping that some of you will consider joining us. (We practice Thursdays at 7 PM at the church.) Do you love children?Join our Disciple Depot team! Wasn't it fun to hear our children sing "Bringing in the Sheaves" on Thanksgiving Sunday? You can help bring in the sheaves by joining St. Peter's children's ministry, Disciple Depot. It would only require a time commitment of one Sunday a month, and volunteers are given the lesson ahead of time to review. Our children's ministry is growing, and we need your help to make sure we have teachers to minister to these young disciples. Connect with Sunday School Co-ordinator Sholabomi Toye, or Rev. Rob to scatter and water seeds for the Kingdom AND have fun! |

Building treasure in heavenFinancial update: January 1 to September 30, 2026 Total tithes, offerings and donations: $157,396 (Budget: $175,500) While our tithes, offerings and donations were still a little below our budget at the end of September, St. Peter's overall financial picture remains stronger than it was this time last year. As we continue our Plenty Good Room Stewardship Campaign, we pray that our collective commitment to stewardship will deepen, and this financial momentum will accelerate even more. For a helpful perspective on tithing and stewardship, check out Rev. Rob's sermon from October 18. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and faithfulness! Reminder: St. Peter's is a fragrance-free spaceNo scents makes good sense Colognes and perfumes – even those in our shampoos, conditioners, detergents and fabric softeners – can cause reactions for people with allergies and sensitivities, and these conditions are becoming more prevalent in our society. Our commitment to providing a scent-free environment ensures that everyone can worship in St. Peter's in safety and comfort, so we thank you for your efforts! |
