Flower dedication invitationRemembering our loved ones November 1 & 8 On November 1, St. Peter's will remember and celebrate the legacy of our departed loved ones, in our All Saints'/All Souls' Service – and parishioners are invited to join in this holy movement through a special flower dedication. In addition to our regular altar bouquets, we hope to fill our chancel with blooms dedicated to loved ones who have passed away. To participate, email Rev. Rob and provide the name of the loved one(s) you want to commemorate. Their names will be printed in a bulletin insert and read during our service. For those who would like to contribute to the cost of the flowers, flower donation envelopes can be found at the rear of the church. We hope to preserve the flowers long enough so we can display them again on Remembrance Sunday (November 8). Parishioners are also welcome to dedicate additional arrangements for that Sunday in memory of loved ones who served in the military or as first responders. Please join us as we give thanks for the departed. For more infomation visit: http://stpeterscalgary.org/news/flower-dedication-invitation

Social Scavenger HuntBe the hunter and the hunted... The First Friday activity for October will be held on the last Friday of October with a wine & cheese plus scavenger hunt, where you are the hunter and the hunted, the evening of October 30th at 7:15 in the Cormack Hall (upper hall at St. Peter’s.) For the scavenger hunt, you will be asked to choose an item, from a list of 40 items, that you will wear on your person. The item can be disguised, but it must be visible. Each participant will be looking for your item as you will be looking for their item. This is an extremely fun evening so please plan to come. You need to email me so that I can give you the list of items from which you will choose one. The sooner you let me know you are planning to come, the more choices there will still be left on the list to choose from! An example of some of the items are such things as: string, golf pencil, safety pin, feather, dental floss, drinking straw, key, paper clip, duct tape, etc. For more infomation visit: http://stpeterscalgary.org/events/social-scavenger-hunt/2026-10-30

Do you love children?Join our Disciple Depot team! St. Peter's children's ministry, Disciple Depot, has lost a number of volunteer teachers recently, so we could really use some new ones. It would only require a time commitment of one Sunday a month, and volunteers are given the lesson ahead of time to review. Our children's ministry is growing, and we need your help to make sure we have teachers to minister to these young disciples. Connect with Sunday School Co-ordinator Sholabomi Toye, or Rev. Rob to scatter and water seeds for the Kingdom AND have fun! |

Reminder: St. Peter's is a fragrance-free spaceNo scents makes good sense Colognes and perfumes – even those in our shampoos, conditioners, detergents and fabric softeners – can cause reactions for people with allergies and sensitivities, and these conditions are becoming more prevalent in our society. Our commitment to providing a scent-free environment ensures that everyone can worship in St. Peter's in safety and comfort, so we thank you for your efforts! |
