A great opportunity to learn about Cursillo

The Calgary Anglican Cursillo Movement's montly ultreya gathering for October is being held at St. Peter's on October 9 at 7:30 pm. This will be the last ultreya before the fall weekends, so we're hoping to make it a good one!

The host church is asked to provide coffee, tea and water, and also to contribute to the snacks, so please bring something if you can (just a bag of chips or cookies will do). And if one or two of you would be willing to take charge of beverages (coffee, tea, water), please let Rev. Rob know.

If you or someone you know is considering attending one of the weekends for the first time, attending an ultreya is a great way to help them get a sense of the movement and the people who belong to it.

Cursillo three-day weekends help Christians explore Christian ideals, fellowship, and spiritual growth in daily living. Cursillo provides an opportunity to deepen your faith, and to experience the love of God within a supportive and prayerful community. Over the three-day weekend, there are talks, opportunity for discussion, praise music, good food and fellowship!

The 2026 fall weekends are set for October 29 - November 1 for men, and November 5 - 8 for women, at the Entheos Retreat Centre just west of Calgary. For more information, talk to Rev. Rob, Hal Anderson or visit the Cursillo website.

Do you love children?

Do you love children?

Join our Disciple Depot team!

St. Peter's children's ministry, Disciple Depot, has lost a number of volunteer teachers recently, so we could really use some new ones. It would only require a time commitment of one Sunday a month, and volunteers are given the lesson ahead of time to review. Our children's ministry is growing, and we need your help to make sure we have teachers to minister to these young disciples. Connect with Sunday School Co-ordinator Sholabomi Toye, or Rev. Rob to scatter and water seeds for the Kingdom AND have fun!

Reminder: St. Peter's is a fragrance-free space

No scents makes good sense

Colognes and perfumes – even those in our shampoos, conditioners, detergents and fabric softeners – can cause reactions for people with allergies and sensitivities, and these conditions are becoming more prevalent in our society. Our commitment to providing a scent-free environment ensures that everyone can worship in St. Peter's in safety and comfort, so we thank you for your efforts!
