The Right Rev. John Stephens of the Diocese of New Westminster wrote the following to enable us to pray more fully for their Diocese: "The parishes most greatly affected are Christ Church, Hope; St. Matthew’s Abbotsford; All Saints, Agassiz; St. Thomas, Chilliwack; St. John the Baptist, Sardis; and All Saints, Mission. Please pray for the parishes, clergy and people. Please pray for their communities as people have lost their homes, their belongings, their livestock, etc. Please pray for the churches as they respond to the crisis, and become a place of shelter and providing food and warmth. Please pray for those who have responded: first responders, volunteers, neighbours, political leaders, indigenous leaders, etc. Please pray for the floodwaters to recede and a renewed effort to work with one another to find solutions to this crisis over the next few weeks, months and years.At this point, things are not set up to receive gifts of money, food or clothing but that will be coming soon. I anticipate that PWRDF will be making a gift to help those in need."May we continue to lift up our brothers and sisters in B.C.
