From Cupid to Mambo

A huge thank you to the three-dozen parishioners who came out for the First Friday Social Ministry's first-ever line dancing evening on April 24. The Bowness Seniors' line dancing group demonstrated several line dances and taught us a few, too! We stepped and stomped our way through songs from Stupid Cupid to Papa Loves Mambo, so the music wasn't too twangy, but there was still plenty of plaid to give our eyeballs a workout – Hal even wore his cowboy hat. Everyone on the dance floor was graceful and elegant (except maybe the bald guy in the collar), the food was top-notch and it was a fun and frolicky event from top to bottom. Special thanks to Marilyn Shaw for being our organizer and hostess with the mostest!
