From the Interim Priest-In-Charge:
I want to inform you that Sam, our Parish Organist, received a notice that effective October 1, 2020, her full-time musical services ceases to be required. This means her contract has ended with The Anglican Parish of St. Peter’s. This is due to COVID 19.
Thanks and blessings,

UPDATES
Fall Fair: As the annual Fall Fair will not be possible in its usual form this year, Sheila will take orders for items from the Country Store, and curbside pick up or drop off can be arranged. Jams and jellies are available all year as Sheila freezes the fruit when it becomes available, but there are some time-sensitive items such as Peaches, Brandied Peaches, Dilly Carrots, Pickled Beets, and Dill Pickles which will be prepared in the next few weeks. Knowing the approximate numbers of each would be most helpful. Please contact Sheila Leigh at 403 281 1376 or sjleigh[at]shaw[dot]ca

Warden's Update: Please click HERE to read the memo sent out to the parish on August 26 regarding the current events the Executive Council has been working on over the summer.

Firewood: Peter Leigh and a group of the men have kept busy chopping, splitting and stacking wood. Now is the time to buy for your fire-pit or your fireplace. Stack it high, and let it dry! If you need a full pick-up load for $100.00 delivered, contact Peter at 403-281 – 1376 or pjleigh[at]shaw[dot]ca.

EXTRAS
Happy Birthday to everyone with a September birthday!

COVID Thank-Yous:
- to Evan Blair for mowing the Courtyard lawn several times and for all his help
- to Richard Cunnington for taking inventory of numerous tools and items in the Church
- to Bonnie Sinclair for getting the Church gardens started with planting many iris' and other assorted plants
- to Mary Dymond, Mary Anne and Peter for helping seek out contractors for the kitchen renovation

Things we've learned during COVID-19: As it is Labour Day weekend, we can reflect on all the people who have worked hard during this pandemic. Get dressed every day. Go for a walk each day, even a short walk in the rain. Remember that "if thunder roars, go indoors."  Have you contacted a new friend from within the Parish? Or someone you have met on your daily walk? Take up a hobby. Learn a new language. Learn a new instrument. Redecorate a room by shopping at your house. Have you shredded that box of old documents yet? Have you shopped your cupboard following your Covid eating? Maybe it is time for a change – over for Fall.

Thought of the Day: Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day.
