First Friday Club April activity: will be bowling at Chinook Bowling Lanes on Friday, April 3rd, at 6:45 pm.  If you are planning to attend, please let Joan Siddal (403-238-7588 or email jasiddall@shaw.ca) know asap and by March 22nd. at the latest. Liturgical Meeting: The next Liturgical meeting will be held Tuesday, March 24 at 1:00 pm.

Bulletins: For this season of Lent, we are reusing our bulletins every week, so please make sure to keep them in good condition and leave them as you depart on Sunday morning.

Rummage Sale: Spring is almost here! It is time for Spring Fever! As you clear out items, think about the Rummage Sale on May 7, 2020.

Mah Jongg Lessons at the church on Wednesday afternoon in March 1 p.m. to 3 p.m: During March Pam Milne (milnei@telusplanet.net) and Elaine Montgomery (elmont@shaw.ca)  will be teaching the ancient game of Mah Jongg to anyone who wants to join us. The game can be played with 3, 4 or 5 people per table. If you are interested, please contact one of us and we will send you more details. After March the group can decide if they want to continue and which day/time is preferable. 

Communion: Due to concerns raised by the National Church Office and the Federal Health Minister regarding COVID 19; we at St. Peter’s will receive communion in one kind only for the time being. (bread only). The Great Thanksgiving will include the blessing and consecration of both bread and wine; however, the congregation will only receive the consecrated bread. Just prior to distribution of the bread the priest will go into the Sacristy to wash his hands with soap and water. (Do not panic if the priest disappears for a few minutes after the Great Thanksgiving Prayer)

Tusks and Tails from the African Research Unit: On March 16, 2020 at 7:15pm, all women of the parish are invited to hear Vera’s Apletree’s daughter, Rosemary Fuller, speak about her volunteer time at an elephant sanctuary in Africa. Cloth Grocery Bags: Reusable, cloth grocery bags are needed to put together grocery bags for the needy. If you have any available, please leave them in the office or contact Cameron.

Upper Room: The March/April issue of Upper Room has not arrived yet.

Time Change: Time to move the clock forward and lose one hour of sleep! Sunday AM the clock moves ahead. Who will be at church at the right time?

Faith Young: Faith Young’s funeral is being held at the church on Saturday, March 7 at 10:30 am.

Parish Council: The Parish Council has had our first meeting. Each of us was assigned a specific role to consider. We will have a Retreat on March the 14th, 2020 to determine if we are comfortable and/or have the skills to perform our assigned role.
