UPCOMING EVENTS and NOTICES

NOTICE FROM DIOCESE OFFICE: Our Primate has updated precautions, including communion in one kind only:

• no contact versions of sharing the Peace;
• reduced or no passing of the collection plates;
• communion in one kind only;
• increased availability of hand sanitizer;
• increased attention to hygiene for all worshippers and worship leaders;
• limitations on pastoral and community activities; and
• some are preparing for the possibility that parishes may be closed to all public gatherings for a period of time, when required by health authorities.

Precautions: The Wednesday evening and Thursday morning services have been cancelled, as well as Sunday coffee hour.

Parish Council Retreat: The retreat for Parish Council members on Saturday, March 14 has been postponed for the time being.

Men’s Breakfast: The Men's Breakfast this Saturday March 14 has been cancelled.

First Friday Club April Activity: will be bowling at Chinook Bowling Lanes on Friday, April 3rd, at 6:45 pm. First Friday Club (CPO): The next Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Open Rehearsals for seniors are: Fridays, April 3 @ 10 am Rush Hour: The Best of Mozart; and May 29 @ 10 am Beethoven 4: Bold. Rummage Sale: Spring is almost here! It is time for Spring Fever! As you clear out items, think about the Rummage Sale on May 7, 2020.

ACW Tusks and Tails from the African Research Unit: On March 16, 2020 at 7:15pm, all women of the parish are invited to hear Vera’s Apletree’s daughter, Rosemary Fuller, speak about her volunteer time at an elephant sanctuary in Africa. Cloth Grocery Bags: Reusable, cloth grocery bags are needed to put together grocery bags for any who need one. If you have any available, please leave them in the office or contact Cameron.

CUPS – Calgary Urban Project Society: Ann Bright is the ongoing contact (22 years) for donations of almost anything. She accepts small shampoos and conditioners, body wash, new men’s and women’s underwear, diapers, receiving and baby blankets, sport bags and coats. Items can be delivered to Ann at church.
