NOTICES
Returning to Church Checklist:
With weekly services starting, please keep in mind the following things if you plan on attending.
- Masks are MANDATORY
- Please sanitize as you enter and leave the church and before you receive Communion or a blessing. It is also encouraged to bring your own for while you sit in the pews.
- As good as it will be to see everyone again, please remember to keep your 6-ft distance and refrain from hugging/touching/shaking hands.
- Please make sure you are "signed-in" when you enter so we have a record of everyone in attendance in case of an outbreak.
- When you pick up a bulletin, please touch only one and do not share it. There will be a recycling bin outside the Sanctuary doors for you to discard it after the service.

Office Hours: The office will continue regular hours of 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday - Friday during the fall.

Anglican Diocese of Calgary Bi-Weekly Newsletter: Can be found by clicking HERE.

Donations: There are many options for your contributions to St. Peter's. Meredith or Linda can accept your offering between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you cannot get to the Church, Arnold Williams 403 – 251 – 4610 or arnoldegbertwilliams[at]gmail[dot]com will personally pick up from your home. You may have already set up a direct deposit with the forms provided by Meredith.

ACW Calendars: The 2021 Church Calendars are now available and will be sold before and after the Church service.  The cost is $5.00 each. If you won’t be attending Church and would like a calendar, please call Mary Dymond at 403-512-0155 to make alternate arrangements.

From the Desk of Interim Priest - In Appreciation of the Parish Corporation and Treasurer:
In the midst of this pandemic, we have all experienced loss and pain. I came in at a time just prior to the beginning of COVID 19.
Our Parish has gone through a time of trial and testing - and this is very hard for any Parish.
I appreciate all the support given to me by many parish members and the Parish Corporation - especially in light of difficult decisions that had to be made. In most cases, we had no choice.
I thank you for your trust and hope in the Leadership Team, as we are guided and moved by the Holy Spirit, we work with the temperament of Jesus the Christ, and we are motivated by knowing that God’s love pervades all we do. Let us start our work in faith, continue in obedience, and finish
with love. Once again, on behalf of the people I give thanks for our Leadership Team: Ann, Lois, Garth and Michael.

HELP NEEDED
Please contact Peter at 403-281-1376 or pjleigh[at]shaw[dot]ca if you wish to shovel snow or throw around some de-icer, use a snowblower or drive a small tractor as a snowplough as we enter the winter months.
UPDATES
Parish Council: Although Gary Herle has resigned from Council, he has volunteered to be the Rental Manager for our 2 rental properties. He and Peter, as the Building Facilitator, will oversee the check-out of one of the houses as well as reviewing the contracts and the monitoring and implementation of the maintenance. Thank you, Gary.
George is now playing the organ, singing the hymns and putting together the on-line service. Thank you, George, for the larger print and a variety of pictures during the service. George has been given a stipend only for his service to St. Peter’s.

Cormack Hall Kitchen: There has been a slight delay with construction as it was discovered that asbestos was present. This has now been “de-commissioned” and the new wiring, gyprock, windows, door,  cupboards and flooring can be installed. It is anticipated that it will be complete in 6 – 8 weeks.

Firewood: Peter Leigh and a group of the men have kept busy chopping, splitting and stacking wood. If you need a full pick-up load for $100.00 delivered, contact Peter at 403-281 – 1376 or pjleigh[at]shaw[dot]ca. He reports that 10 loads have been delivered so far and not just to our parishioners but to others who read the Setting Sail. Thank you, Peter and Others.

EXTRAS
COVID Thank Yous & Updates:
- Thank you to Arnold and Gary for updating our sign that the Church is open
- Welcome back Dave Cormack with his son Bill here visiting
Happy Birthday to Bonnie Sinclair!
- The second house is now available to rent

Things we've learned during COVID-19: There are quality programs on TV. The grocery and drug store floor directions are hard to follow.

Thought of the Day: I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances.
