Purses of Hope is the organization that ACW is supporting this year for our Christmas outreach project whereby new or gently used purses are collected and "stuffed" with personal care items for homeless and vulnerable women in Calgary.

We will be collecting items until November 29, Ven. Bonnie will bless them on December 6 and then they will be delivered to the drop-off location. If any parishioners would like to participate and help us with this project, there will be a table in Cormack Hall on November 8 and 15 where you can give us your name and what you would like to donate.We will also accept small monetary donations, which we will use for items still needed or for a coffee card for each purse. Below is a list of things we need:

  • 7 pairs of women's socks
  • 8 small hand sanitizers
  • 10 pairs of mitts/gloves
  • 6 lip balms
  • 4 toques
  • 8 small hand creams
  • 4 facecloths
  • 12 small deodorant
  • 10 small packs of Kleenex
  • 12 toothbrush caps (toothbrushes and tooth paste are provided)
