Back in April, St. Peter's hosted a St. George's Day Missional Event to celebrate England's Patron Saint. And because St. George was a soldier, we decided to donate the net proceeds from the evening to the Veterans Food Bank administered by the Canadian Veterans Services Society. This week, the organization sent us the following letter:

There are so many worthy charities, thank you for your kindness in selecting Canadian Veterans Services Society for your donation of $810.00. We recognize your hard work and having your support means everything to us and our clients. This year, we've been inundated with requests, so it will go a long way.
We're so grateful for the partnership with like-minded people such as yourselves, demonstrating kindness to others. We couldn't serve our clients without you, THANK YOU!
