UPCOMING EVENTS and NOTICES

Greeters: More greeters are needed for Sunday services. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Joan Siddall at 403-238-7588.

First Friday Club (CPO): The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra hold Open Rehearsals for seniors on a Friday morning, usually monthly (schedule varies).  As it is a working rehearsal, the conductor may stop the orchestra at any point, to correct or go over a passage again.  These rehearsals are to be treated as a concert requiring appropriate audience etiquette.  The cost is $15 per person (cash).  The First Friday Club is setting up a group booking to attend these rehearsals.  It is mandatory for me to register our names one week before the rehearsal, and our group must have a minimum of four people attending. The easiest way to get to the Jack Singer Concert Hall is by C-train.  You pay when you arrive, and our group could meet in the foyer around 9:45 am.
The following dates are the next scheduled open rehearsals:
February 28, 10 am - RUSH HOUR; OFF THE BEATEN PATH;
March 6, 10 am - BEETOVEN 3: HEROIC;
April 3, 10 am - RUSH HOUR: BEST OF MOZART; and
May 29, 10 am
 - BEETHOVEN 4: BOLD.
If you are interested in attending any one, or all, of these open rehearsal concerts, please let me know as soon as possible. I will send out a reminder 10 days before the scheduled rehearsal to those who have expressed an interest in attending. Contact Marilyn Shaw at 403-252-9238 or mashawca[at]yahoo[dot]ca.
