AS we look around the world and see war and conflict, polarization and closed-mindedness, hunger and exploitation, hope is something this world desperately needs. Not the wishy-washy hope that the world offers and understands, but the kind of hope that Psalm 62 says we can rest in. The kind of hope that Romans 15 says will fill us with all joy and peace. That’s the kind of hope we need, and it’s the kind of hope that’s available to us, in Jesus. In tonight's Church@7 service, we begin our four-week journey through the season of Advent as we explore the theme of Hope – in our readings, our songs and our prayers. Stay afterwards for warm cookies & coffee, or chips & salsa and lemonade – or all of the above.
